I know what it feels like to carry the weight of mum guilt.

I won’t lie, for a long time, I did lose myself.
I lost my confidence, continually beat myself up for not doing better, and always put the needs of others before myself.
At the beach this weekend I reflected on how far I’ve come.
Through my own experience of motherhood, my coaching training, my research into the lived experience of guilt in motherhood, and extensive personal inquiry, I have arrived at a place where I am able to reject the notion of being able to “do it all” in motherhood, work and life, and embrace being a “good enough” instead of a “perfect” mother.
I’ve learned:
✅That guilt and self-doubt don’t have to be the background track of motherhood.
✅That showing up for myself also benefits my family.
✅That I can pursue my ambitions without feeling like I’m failing at home.
✅That I can build a life where I flourish rather than merely survive.
